Job Description
Ensure that every guest at ʻĀina Kaua‘i has an outstanding 5-star experience by consistently providing the highest quality meals in accordance with our specifications while also managing food costs and back of house operations to ensure we meet profitability targets.
Requirements

What’s most important to us is attitude and conscientiousness. This includes the ability to consistently arrive at work and perform required duties, on time, with concern for quality and attention to detail.
An ideal candidate would have at least 1-2 years kitchen experience a high-end establishment and excellent knowledge of Japanese food.
Possession of a Food Handler’s Card issued by the Hawaii Department of Health is required. Additional food safety certifications would be beneficial.
Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States, have proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, and speaking), and be able to stand for long periods of time..
Job Functions
Before service, prepare food and sauces with precise attention to detail, adherence to specifications and compliance with food safety directives.
During service, cook food with precise attention to detail, adherence to specifications and compliance with food safety directives according to our dinner schedule so that each dish is delivered on time and at the right temperature.
During service, keep workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized. After service, clean kitchen and prepare for start of next day.
Ensure that foods and sauces are fresh, safe, and ready for service each day and that food products are stored properly and safely.
Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements for health and safety.
Manage inventory and ordering to ensure an adequate supply of fresh and local ingredients required to execute our menu each day.
